The Cultural Park is a Result of an International Competition

This cultural park is a result of an international competition in 2014 for rehabilitating the Mapo Oil Depot, which stands as a historic icon to Seoul’s industrial past. The eventual plan was chosen among 95 entries. There are 6 tanks throughout the site, with each repurposed for diferent purposes, from performanc-es, exhibitions and general exploration to spaces like an outdoor amphitheatre and a memorial space.
